Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 June 2026
These are the terms on which you may use Dog Business Hub (dogbusinesshub.co.uk and the related subdomains guides., jobs., training., **start.**dogbusinesshub.co.uk). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
Who we are
Dog Business Hub is run by a sole trader based in Scotland, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@dogbusinesshub.co.uk.
What you can do with this site
You’re welcome to:
- Read everything on the site
- Sign up for the free checklist and the email list
- Buy guides via Payhip and use them for your own business
- Apply to jobs listed on the job board
- Visit external course providers through links here
- Share short, attributed quotes from the site on social media and your own blog (a link back is appreciated but not required)
What you can’t do
Please don’t:
- Republish, resell or redistribute the guides — they are licensed for your own use only, not for resale or sharing
- Scrape the site at volume or use automated tools to harvest content
- Copy substantial parts of the writing here and pass it off as your own
- Use the site or its content to provide identical paid coaching or training that resells our work
- Misuse the contact form or email to send spam, abuse or anything illegal
Guides — what you get
The paid guides sold via Payhip are digital products. When you buy one:
- You get permanent access to the version you purchased
- You may use it for your own business, indefinitely
- We may release updated versions; depending on the change, updates may or may not be free — that will be communicated at the time
- Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy (see below)
Refunds
Because digital downloads can’t be “returned,” we don’t offer routine refunds once a guide has been delivered. If you believe you bought something that is genuinely not as described, contact us within 14 days and we’ll review case-by-case. This is in addition to your rights under UK consumer law.
The job board
The job board (jobs.dogbusinesshub.co.uk) is a listing service. Job listings are submitted by employers; we don’t verify the accuracy of every listing in detail. Apply with the same sensible caution you’d use on any job site:
- Don’t pay anyone to apply
- Don’t share bank details or copies of identification documents before an offer is made
- If something feels off, it probably is
We’re not party to any employment relationship that results from a listing. The contract is between you and the employer.
Training directory
The training pages are an honest directory of UK dog industry courses, written from an employer’s perspective. Some links are affiliate links — we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you if you sign up for a course through them. We only list courses we’d be comfortable pointing a friend at. We also list big non-affiliate providers alongside, where they exist, so the directory isn’t only “people who pay us.”
Course quality and outcomes are between you and the course provider. Always check the specific course’s accreditation, current price, refund terms and student feedback yourself before paying.
General disclaimer — important
Everything on this site is general guidance, not professional advice for your specific situation.
UK rules vary by council and change over time. Insurance products vary by insurer. Tax rules change. The right answer for one person isn’t always right for another. The site does its best to be accurate at the time of writing, but:
- Always check current requirements with your local authority, HMRC and your insurer before making decisions
- Take proper advice — speak to a qualified accountant, solicitor or business adviser for anything significant
- Treat the guides as a head start, not a substitute for doing your own homework
We are not responsible for any business decision you make based on what you read here. Use the information as a starting point, not as the final word.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded by UK law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity arising from your use of the site, the free checklist, the email content, the paid guides, or anything you do as a result of reading them. The site is provided “as is.”
Changes to the site or these terms
We may change the site, its features, prices, or these terms at any time. If we make a significant change to these terms, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and notify subscribers by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland (and the rest of the United Kingdom where applicable). Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
